A Death Saloon End of Life Planning Party will have you thinking about things you probably have never thought about and possibilities you didn't know existed regarding end of life planning.

Because you don't know what you don't know.

The Death Saloon

How The Death Saloon Works

You host a Death Saloon End of Life Planning Party at your home or chosen space. Invite your “soul tribe,” made up of close friends | family. Ensure that the space is comfortable and inviting for everyone.

To add depth to this event, invite each guest to bring a dish to share that reminds them of a departed loved one. Finger food is preferable. And while a little alcohol can act as a lubricant, excessive drinking should be avoided.

When everyone has arrived and is settled, The Death Saloon End of Life Planning Party will start. A carefully chosen death-themed soundtrack will play in the background to add to the atmosphere.

I will be with you and your guests for approximately two hours. In that time you will be guided through an end-of-life planning journey using carefully curated activities and thought-provoking questions.

At the end of our time together you and your guests will leave with your own individualised workbook of basic information and a goodie bag of “goodies”. These resource will provide you with the fundamentals to start organising your affairs more thoroughly.

This is not a workshop and not a Death Café. It is a structured, professionally held experience designed to open the conversations you have been meaning to have.

Why This Matters

Most of us avoid talking about death until crisis forces the issue.
The Death Saloon End of Life Planning Party gives you the opportunity to have these conversations.

Here are a few reasons to book your own event:

  • A supportive and private space to talk about what you want with the people who matter to you.

  • A clearer sense of what “getting your affairs in order” actually means.

  • A facilitated conversation that cuts through overwhelm and confusion.

  • A practical starting point for planning, decision-making and next steps.

What I Bring

You won’t be left to carry the conversation.

This gathering is professionally guided by me - a Death Doula, Death Literacy Educator and seasoned community facilitator. It draws on more than one hundred hours of Death Cafe facilitation and countless real-world conversations about death, dying and the end of life.

I understand the gaps in people’s knowledge, the questions they’re afraid to ask and the topics they don’t know how to begin. I’ve distilled that insight into a structured and informative workshop that keeps discussion purposeful rather than heavy, unfocused or overwhelming.

What You Provide

  • Your tribe.

  • A private venue with use of a dining room table (because you will be writing).

  • The food and drinks - remember, one alcoholic drink is okay - more, not so much.

  • Openness, respect and curiosity.

This experience suits

  • People starting end-of-life planning and wanting guidance.

  • People wanting to clarify their wishes early.

  • People who value honest, grounded conversations with those they love.

  • Anyone who wants depth, practicality and a forward-thinking approach to mortality

This event suits adults (18+) of any age.
