What is a Death Cafe?

To quote directly from the organisation who founded the concept:

"At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake drink tea and discuss death. Our objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, no objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.”

Each month, I host two opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals to explore conversations about death, dying, and the end of life. The Inner West Death Cafe is an in-person gathering, while The Death Dialogues is a virtual event. I also curate bespoke events regularly - follow me on Eventbrite to stay updated on new offerings.

Hope to see you soon!

“Just as talking about sex won't make you pregnant, talking about death won't make you dead.”
